Over in my Facebook group, January’s theme was “Mushrooms.” I decided to join in the fun and was captivated by a whimsical design showing fungi encapsulated within a lightbulb. The massive challenge has begun! To mark Pokémon’s upcoming 30th anniversary, I have started my mission to book fold all original 151 Generation 1 Pokémon. We begin at the very beginning with #001: Bulbasaur. When Marc asked for a handmade Secret Santa gift for a fellow Pokémon Professor with an “Eeveelutions” theme, I knew I had a challenge on my hands! I decided to turn a detailed image into an intricate book fold. It required weeks of patient folding and a lot of careful colouring to finally bring all those different characters to life, but I am so happy with how this colourful project turned out.
